Long-term trend of electric vehicle sales in Thailand

Abstract This research study aims at examining the long-term trend of EV sales in Thailand, utilising system dynamics (SD) modelling approach. approach is commonly used to model complex systems with causal relationships among key factors within system. The developed SD consists five affecting electric vehicle (EV) sales, namely, environment, economy, charging infrastructure, government support, and battery maintenance. simulation results show increase by ten times next 20 years implementation plans related factors. support factor most important enhancing short term. Several should be initiated attract more consumers, such as subsidies tax reductions. environment infrastructure are crucial increasing long enforcement CO 2 provision stations all around country established achieve a sustainable market contributes Thai automotive industry better understand sales. sectors may use plan for campaigns promote EVs market.
